The 2026 Zijin Gala Evening was held recently at BFU Tin Ka Ping Gymnasium under the theme "Define Your Own Youth". The event drew over 600 faculty and students from the School of Economics and Management. 

Tha gala centered on an interactive microfilm Li Bai as its main narrative thread, and incorporated the May Fourth spirit and the philosophy of ecological conservation. Inspired by Chinese calligraphy, the gala was divided into three chapters, including "Lin Tie", "Xuan Wan", and "Dun Bi". Through an imaginative lens of "traveling across a thousand years", the microfilm aesthetically presented the doubts and uncertainties students encounter when facing important life choices. It also conveyed the message that passionate youth should not be defined by other, and there's no need to be anybody other than oneself. 

The gala featured over 14 performances, including aerobics, fashion shows, poetry recitations, songs, skits and ethnic dances. It brought together talented performers from across the BFU community, including faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, international students, ethnic minority representatives, and even pupils from BFU-affiliated Primary Schools. 

As a flagship cultural event of the School, the Zijin Gala Evening offered a platform for faculty members and students to showcase their talents, and enriched campus life.
