From April 18 to May 10, the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival was held at venues including the Shanghai Botanical Garden and the Huangpu District. The project "New Rishe Garden", designed by Professor Wang Xiangrong and Professor Lin Qing from the College of Landscape Architecture of BFU, was exhibited in the Ancient City Park within the Huangpu main venue.


Themed "A City in Bloom, Echoes of Time", this year's International Flower Festival is committed to hosting a world-class floral event that is leading globally, technologydriven, culturally rich, ecologically sound, and accessible to all.

Inspired by the thirty-six Ming Dynasty views and the eight Qing Dynasty views of the historic Rishe Garden, the "New Rishe Garden" features eight new scenes.The modern garden honors the spirit of classical Chinese gardens while incorporating contemporary aesthetics, reflecting the continuation and revival of the cultural heritage nowadays.
