Vice President of Niigata University in Japan and his delegation visits BFU

Recently, Mr. Sueyoshi Kuni, Vice President of Niigata University in Japan, accompanied by Professor Hisashi Nagata and student representatives, visited Beijing Forestry University for an exchange visit. Vice President Zou Guohui of BFU took part in the exchange activities.

At the meeting, Vice President Zou Guohui warmly welcomed the delegation from Niigata University. He highlighted that BFU, as a leading institution in China for green studies, has a strong research foundation in fields such as forestry, landscape architecture, and wildlife conservation, which closely align with the research focus of Niigata University. He expressed a desire to enhance collaboration between the two universities in these areas.

Mr. Sueyoshi Kuni thanked BFU for its hospitality and provided a brief overview of Niigata University. He noted that more than half of Niigata University's international students are from China and expressed his hope that this visit would further enhance the friendship between the two universities.

Following the introductions, Consul Bai Yanqiu from the PRC’s Consulate General in Niigata explained the context of the delegation's visit. The Assistant Director of the Office for International Relations of BFU presented the overview of BFU, while Professor Hisashi Nagata shared insights into the Sado Island Ecological and Environmental Research Center at Niigata University.

Representatives from the Office for International Relations, along with the School of Ecology and Nature Conservation, were present at the exchange activities.

Following the meeting, Following the discussion, Sueyoshi Kuni and his delegation proceeded to engage in Following and his delegation visited the School of Ecology and Nature Conservation for academic discussions on crested ibis conservation. They were later accompanied by faculty members on a field visit to observe the crested ibis's natural habitat.
