On May 13th, professor Lucy Marshall, the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Macquarie University in Australia, accomplined by Stella Wang, the Director of the Greater China Region for the International Office, made a visit to Beijing Forestry University to actively foster exchanges and cooperation in engineering. Representatives and officials from the Office for International Relations, the School of Technology, and the College of Environmental Science & Engineering participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the head of the Office for International Relations warmly welcomed the delegation from Macquarie University and provided a brief overview of BFU' s history, accomplishments in nurturing talent, and endeavors in international education. Professor Lucy Marshall then gave an overview of Macquarie University, highlighting the research strengths of the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Macquarie University, and shared insights on data-driven interdisciplinary research.
The heads of both colleges engaged in in-depth discussions on collaborating on research projects concerning ecological construction applications and jointly establishing international laboratories. An initial consensus was reached, and the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions is advancing smoothly.
