Beijing Forestry University recently hosted a specialized training program for 20 Russian forestry professionals,focusing on "National Forestry Economy Management". Sessions highlighted China’s innovative approaches, including timber trade systems, AI-integrated forest monitoring, and ecological restoration.

At the opening ceremony, the head from the Social Services and Integrated Research Office warmly welcomed the participants. He thanked the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Vocational Education Internationalization Cooperation Development Alliance, the China-Russia Education Association, and the All-Russian Institute of Advanced Continuing Education for their support. He noted BFU's work in building an academic system to support ecological civilization, which has yielded abundant practical results. As the global forestry sector undergoes transformation, this training offers a timely chance to share practical experiences and strengthen forestry cooperation, jointly advancing forestry science and industry development.


The training program centers on forestry economics, modern technology, digital applications in smart forestry, and field visits to forests and nurseries, combining lectures, case studies, site visits, and discussions to foster exchanges between Chinese and Russian forestry professionals. Professor Xie Yi from BFU’s School of Economics and Management, and Professor Lin Jianfeng from the School of Technology lectured on industry trends and smart forestry applications.Delegates also visited the University Museum, Jiufeng Experimental Forest and other sites to study seedling cultivation and urban greening techniques.
Supported by the Russia-China Education Association and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Vocational Education Alliance, the training advances Sino-Russian cooperation in green technology transfer and sustainable forestry policy design.
