A delegation from Saint Petersburg State Forest Technical University, headed by Vice President Dobrovolskiy Alexander, recently visited Beijing Forestry University for an exchange. Li Xiong, Vice President of BFU, attended the meeting, which was chaired by the director of the Office for International Relations.

Li Xiong met with the delegation from Saint Petersburg State Forest Technical University, highlighting BFU's unique strengths in forestry, landscape architecture, ecological engineering, and related disciplines, along with its holistic academic development. He expressed optimism that this visit would deepen their partnership based on their long-standing collaboration and foster joint contributions to forestry and ecological innovation.
Dobrovolskiy Alexander highlighted the shared focus on forestry disciplines and academic offerings, as well as the strong alignment between the two universities. He looked forward to deepening cooperation through joint training programs, student exchange initiatives, and faculty exchange opportunities in the future.

During the meeting, Li Xiong and Dobrovolskiy Alexander formalized the "Student Exchange Agreement" between the two universitis. Representing his university, Dobrovolskiy Alexander also signed the "Letter of Intent to Join the Flyway University Alliance".
Svetlana Tereshchenko from the International Cooperation Office of Saint Petersburg State Forest Technical University presented an overview of her institution. Representatives from the Office for International Relations, BFU and International College introduced the university's overall profile and international student programs. Additionally, Russian international students of BFU attended the meeting to share her life here.

The delegation explored key departments, including the College of Forestry, the School of Materials Science and Technology, the School of Engineering, and the School of Economics and Management. They held extensive discussions with faculty members on topics such as student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and joint academic programs.
