Recently, Beijing Forestry University celebrated its first International Cultural Festival and Campus Guinness Event along its Ginkgo Boulevard. with the theme "Cultural Synergy for Global Unity", the festival featured international students from over twenty countries and regions, alongside numerous Chinese student cultural clubs. They engaged in a rich exchange of global cultures through exhibitions, interactive games, and performances, showing the vibrant blend of diverse world cultures with China's rich traditional heritage. Vice President Li Xiong attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Leaders from various departments and colleges also attended the event.

Li Xiong expressed that BFU is committed to fostering an open, inclusive, and diverse campus cultural environment. By increasing the openness of our educational endeavors, BFU seeks to establish more robust platforms for cultural exchange and mutual learning. The first International Cultural Festival brings new vitality into the university's internationalization efforts, presenting students and faculty with opportunities to broaden their globally diverse perspectives. It also serves as a bridge for the integration and exchange of Chinese and foreign cultures. He hoped that everyone would fully engage and learn from each other, immersing themselves in the abundant and diverse cultures, enhance mutual understanding and friendship, thereby creating lasting memories.


During the opening ceremony, international students from Russia, Pakistan, Madagascar, Nepal, and Thailand presented traditional songs and dances of their countries. The Rainbow Street Dance Club of BFU also enthralled the audience with an energetic and captivating dance performance.


On Ginkgo Boulevard, the international cultural exhibit area came alive, resembling a vibrant and colorful scroll of global cultures. International students, dressed in traditional attire from their respective countries and serving as cultural ambassadors, eagerly displayed their cultural heritage. Their colorful garments, warm smiles, harmonious songs, and lively dances created the most captivating scene of the festival, fostering a unique and enchanting atmosphere. Visitors, holding specially made festival check-in cards, moved through various activity zones, interacting and exchanging with friends from different countries, and immersing themselves in the joy and excitement of this international cultural celebration.

The event was jointly organized by the Communist Youth League Committee, the United Front Work Department, and the International College, with strong support from the Public Media Division of CPC, the Security Department, and the General Support Department. Moving forward, BFU will continue to host a diverse array of campus cultural activities, creating opportunities for students and faculty to engage with and gain an understanding of the global community, thereby enhancing BFU's internationalization efforts.
