BFU and Northern (Arctic) Federal University hold interntaional cooperative conference online

Recently, Beijing Forestry University and the Northern (Arctic) Federal University(NARFU), Russia held an international cooperation conference online. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on educational cooperation, academic research and talent cultivation in forestry and mechanical engineering.

During the meeting, the relevant person in charge of the College of Forestry and the teacher representative of the School of Technology respectively introduced the subject setting, teaching organization, scientific research overview, discipline competition and international cooperation in detail.


Ms. ZARUBINA Lyubov, Acting First Vice President in charge of International Affairs and Head of the International Cooperation Department of NARFU, introduced the history, location and school-running of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University. Professor MURASHOVA Olga, Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Engineering, and Associate Professor CHERKASOVA Anna of the Higher School of Natural Science and Technology introduced the achievements of their schools' disciplines of advantage, major settings and research fields respectively.

In order to expand the global partner network of the two sides and promote the deepening and solid international cooperation, BFU and NARFU will sign a framework cooperation agreement and a student exchange agreement, aiming to strengthen the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in education and scientific research in the Arctic region through international research cooperation projects, joint laboratory construction and international practice exchange.


The conference injected new impetus into the international exchanges and cooperation between BFU and NARFU . In the future, the two sides will jointly promote the development of education in the Arctic region, and actively contribute to the protection of the ecological environment in the region, the response to climate change, and the development and utilization of forest resources.
