Recently, representatives from Macquarie University in Australia visited Beijing Forestry University at the invitation of BFU to engage in international exchanges and explore cooperation with the School of Technology. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Office for International Relations and the School of Technology, along with faculty representatives from various disciplines, and was chaired by the director of the Office for International Relations.

During the meeting, the Director of the Office for International Relations presented an overview of BFU's educational philosophy, distinctive features of the schooling system, and the university's achievements in international education and collaboration. The School of Technology provided an introduction to its instructional structure, disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and intended areas of partnership. Professor Aman Oo, Dean of the College of Technology at Macquarie University, outlined the institution's approach to running schools, engineering education, and research focus, expressing a keen interest in pursuing comprehensive collaborations with BFU in various domains such as joint talent cultivation and disciplinary advancement. Stella Wang, Head of the International Department of Greater China at Macquarie University, articulated the specific cooperative requirements and proposed projects that Macquarie University was seeking. Representative teachers from both institutions engaged in profound dialogues on academic exchange, scientific research partnerships, and contributions to society.
The two sides reached a agreement that in order to expand their global network of partners and promote international cooperation, BFU and Macquarie University will sign a framework cooperation agreement, aiming to strengthen in-depth cooperation in engineering through educational collaboration and international research cooperation.
After the meeting, Aman Oo and his delegation visited the undergraduate teaching laboratories and graduate office in the engineering building, and had in-depth exchanges with the related faculties.
It is reported that the School of Technology, attaching great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, has initiated discussions with several overseas universities and institutions in the preliminary phase, aiming to forge a practical cooperation framework with international partners to persistently bolster the development of academic disciplines.
