On September 1, a delegation from the Australian National University (ANU), headed by Arthur Xu, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Deputy Director Sarah Yue, visited the School of Foreign Languages for talks on talent development, academic programs, and research collaboration. The meeting was attended by representatives from the School of Foreign Languages and the University's International Relations Office. Representatives from Ausino Education Group were also present.

The two sides explored ways to leverage their respective strengths and establish mechanisms for joint talent development. Discussions centered on the feasibility of bachelor's-to-master's pathways, transnational joint-training programs, and practical issues such as curriculum alignment.
The School of Foreign Languages introduced its recent efforts to cultivate interdisciplinary foreign-language talent through its "Foreign Languages Plus" approach, including pilot programs in language intelligence and legal English, and expressed its hope to advance cooperation with ANU in joint research and integrated undergraduate-to-master's education.

Arthur Xu introduced ANU's history, academic strengths, and research tradition, and outlined initial ideas for joint-training programs. Both sides agreed that the meeting had strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation, particularly in joint undergraduate-to-master's education in the humanities. The exchange also marks a step forward in the School's efforts to expand international partnerships and enhance the quality of talent development.
Located in Canberra, ANU is Australia's only national university and a core member of APRU and IARU. It partners with multiple Chinese universities to cultivate well-rounded global talent.
