On October 15, the "Dongxu Blue Sky Cup" 2023 National Touch Rugby Finals hosted by the National Olympic Sports Center and the Chinese Rugby Football Association came to an end at the West Campus of China Agricultural University. The representative team of BFU participated in the college mixed group competition and won the cup, breaking the zero gold medal history of BFU in group competition.

This grand final is the largest touch rugby event after six sub-tournaments hosted by Chinese Rugby Football Association this year, including U9 group, U12 group, U15 group, U18 group, college group and adult group, which attracted 41 units with 74 teams and more than 800 athletes from Beijing, Shandong, Hebei, Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other provinces and cities for participation.

In the competition, our team members fought with organized and aggressive style, giving a full play to the tenacity of the BFUers. Deng Xiao, coach of BFU rugby football team, has won the title of outstanding coach of this tournament.
BFU Touch Rugby Football team was established in 2013, and has been refined in systems of recruitment and training in a decade's development. The team, attracting 28 players now, and has won the capital college touch football championship for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020.
