BFU international students digest insights at the 9th China Forestry Academic Conference

The 9th China Forestry Academic Conference was held at Northwest A&F University from July 26 to 29, 2024. Themed "Intensifying Scientific and Technological Innovation to Foster New Productive Forces in Forestry and Grassland", the conference comprised one main venue and sixty sub-venues, attracting a diverse assembly of forestry experts, scholars, and students. Representing BFU International College, eight international students participated in a forum on "Forestry Sustainable Development and International Cooperation".

At the international student forum, DEBAJO DORCAS OLUWASEUN, a Nigerian master's student from the College of Landscape Architecture, assumed the role of moderator for one of the sub-forums, and eight international students presented their academic papers, with six delivering their presentations in succession.

The presentations by our international students highlighted their scholarly contributions to forestry as well as their enthusiasm and skill in fostering international collaboration. They actively engaged in lively discussions with scholars and their peers from other institutions at the event. This experience not only expanded their academic perspectives but also deepened their connections and collaborative ties with faculty and students from diverse universities.

International College of BFU has been committed to fostering connections and collaborations with academic communities both domestically and internationally. This effort provides international students with diverse platforms for high-level academic exchanges, supporting their continual advancement in academia while contributeing to the high-quality development of forestry and grassland initiatives.
