Recently, Professor Zhao Tingning, Professor Guo Xiaoping, Associate Professor Shi Changqing and other six members of the mining ecological restoration research team of the School of Soil and Water Conservation went to Horqin Right Wing Front Banner of Hinggan League to carry out ecological restoration investigation of historical mines.

The team made a field visit to 15 historical mines around Horqin Right Wing Front Banner for the details of the basic situation of the historical mines. They preliminarily investigated the soil and vegetation of the historical mines, calculated the soil erosion in typical areas, investigated and judged the main problems of the ecological restoration, and they also  exchanged with the management and technical personnel of the Bureau of Natural Resources. Next, the team will deepen the research work and complete the ecological restoration plan of the historic mines of the Banner to contribute more to the ecological contruction of the place.

It is reported that soil erosion in mines left over from history is an important ecological and environmental problem that restricts the sustainable social and economic development of Horqin Right Wing Front Banner, and the ecological restoration of mines is a major scientific and technological demand of Keyouqianqi. For a long time, the College of Water conservation attaches great importance to the scientific and technological assistance work of Keyou Front Banner, actively fights and takes the initiative to set up a high-level scientific research team for the main ecological and environmental problems of Keyou Front Banner, to solve the ecological management problems of Keyou Front Banner with organized scientific research, and has made phased progress in the ecological restoration of mines and the control of soil erosion on black land.
