It is reported that Laser Run is the latest original event introduced by Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM), developed from run-shoot. It was incorporated into UIPM's competitions in 2015. In this event, each participant must run a distance of 400-800 meters and then pause to shoot, successfully hitting five targets before resuming the run. This pattern contines until the specified running distance is completed, with rankings determined by completion time. The event requires high physical fitness and quick responce to stop and shoot, highlighting both endurance and precision.
