On May 21, the award ceremony of 2023 Beijing "Higher Education Press Cup" in the college students "Sharing Chinese Stories in Foreign Languages" short video competition was held at Renmin University of China. Qingya Luo's team of Business English major and Yixuan Fan's team of English major from the School of Foreign Languages both won the first prize.

With the guidance of Xiaoying Chen and Zhaohan Xu, the two teams conducted numerous detailed discussions on the topic theme, script, and video production.

In the work of Qingya Luo's team, the long history of Beijing was reviewed with the the central axis of Beijing as the starting point, and the future of Beijing was envisioned with unique creativity and exquisite videos, conveying the the theme of "rhyme of the city axis"  to the audience.

In the work of Yixuan Fan's team, the vivid story of Beijing's "green development" was telled from the perspective of a small tree, which shows Beijing's efforts in ecological civilization construction and great achievements in environmental protection.

The competition was jointly organized by Higher Education Office of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Higher Education Press, College English Research Branch of Beijing Association of Higher Education and Ideological and Political Alliance of College Foreign Language Courses. With the theme of "Great Beauty of China -- Charm of Hometown", teams are required to explore the development of their hometown or the capital city, regional culture, local customs, special food and other content materials and produce a video in English to show the development of Chinese society and the happy life of the Chinese people.
