Professor Luca Maria Francesco Fabris of Politecnico di Milano visited BFU's School of Landscape Architecture, delivering a lecture titled "Milan Getting Greener" on urban regeneration and brownfield revitalization.

Before the lecture, Dean Li and faculty members exchanged ideas with Professor Fabris on international education models, curriculum development, and collaborative research opportunities. The discussion highlighted aligned priorities in sustainable design and ecological resilience between the two institutions.

Professor Fabris dissected Milan's transformation through adaptive reuse of industrial wastelands, green corridor networks integrating peripheral zones and historic core-centered ecological frameworks."Urban greening transcends aesthetics—it rebuilds social functionality, enhances climate resilience, and redefines public welfare," He said.

Students explored operational models for green infrastructure and wastelands activation during the Q&A session, reflecting the college’s commitment to practical ecological solutions.
As a renowned scholar in sustainable urban systems, Professor Fabris authors multiple treatises and edits international architecture journals. His work demonstrates how green spaces can drive urban renewal while balancing ecological and spatial logic.
