Representative from the Office for International Relations, BFU, highlighted the university's disciplinary strengths and global engagement achievements, and the UCM delegation presented its history and leading expertise in life sciences, engineering, social sciences, and natural sciences, proposing joint student programs, regional studies platforms, and international conference collaborations.

Building on complementary academic profiles, BFU and UCM established key collaborative priorities, with a particular focus on developing dual-degree programs and fostering cross-border faculty research initiatives. This strategic alignment will be formalized through comprehensive institutional agreements designed to maximize synergies between their respective academic strengths.

With nearly 80,000 students and 37 research institutes, UCM stands as Spain's largest comprehensive research university and has produced seven Nobel laureates.
