The Zijin Cup Basketball Tournament, hosted by Beijing Forestry University’s School of Economics and Management, concluded on March 19 after a thrilling 10-day competition, with the 'Sophomore Champions' team taking the title. Following the final match, an awards ceremony and a friendly faculty-student game were held at Tianjiabing Basketball Court, where school leaders and sports department officials honored the winning teams.

More than 100 students from 12 teams spanning undergraduate, master's and PhD programs battled through 15 intense matches. After a series of fast-paced, nail-biting games with closely contested scores, the 'Sophomore Champions' ultimately prevailed.The tournament's highlight came when star student players took on faculty members in an entertaining exhibition match. In a crowd-pleasing finish, the staff team secured victory amid roaring cheers from spectators. 

Star players from the tournament faced off against faculty in the Friendship Match, where the teaching team's victory sparked lively camaraderie. The spirited competition not only deepened mentor-student bonds but also showcased the school's dedication to building a vibrant, inclusive campus community.

The tournament reinforced teamwork and campus unity, and the school plans to further develop sports programs to enrich student life and promote athletic engagement.
