The Research Group of Du Fang, professor of the School of Ecology and Nature Conservation of BFU, recently published a review paper entitled “ New Approaches for Ecological Adaptation Study: From Population Genetics to Landscape Genomics ” in SCIENTIA SINICA Vitae, a well-known journal in the field of life sciences. By integrating the current research hotspots of population genetics and landscape genomics in the field of plant adaptability, this paper summarizes the cutting-edge theories and methods of ecological adaptation, makes key analysis of the role that population genetics and landscape genomics play in analyzing the molecular mechanism of plant ecological adaptation.
Recently, BFU Management Innovation Team has made new breakthrough in estimates concerning biomass carbon stocks in forests in Northeast Asia. This study is based on the research of “ New forest biomass carbon stock estimates in Northeast Asia based on multisource data ” and published on Global Change Biology (IF 8.55), a top-ranking journal in the field of environment and ecology. Weixue Luo, a doctoral student of Forest Manager Discipline in the School of Forestry, is the first author of the paper. Professors Chunyu Zhang and Jingjing Liang are the corresponding authors, and scholars from Purdue University, USA and Seoul National University, Korea also participate in the study. The research was mainly funded by the National Key Research and Development Project (No. 2017YFC0504005) led by Professor Xiuhai Zhao of the BFU.
Recently, BFU Biomass Clean Utilization Research Center has made new breakthrough on Triboelectric Nanogenerators. This study is based on the research of “A Stretchable Highoutput Triboelectric Nanogenerator Improved by MXene Liquid Electrode with High Electronegativity” and published on Advanced Functional Materials (IF 16.836), a top-ranking journal in the field of materials. Dr. Wentao Cao, a doctoral student of the Department of Forest Products and Chemicals, School of Materials Science and Technology, is the first author, Professor. Mingguo Ma is the corresponding author, and scholars from the Institute of Nanoenergy and Systems in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Tenth People's Hospital of Tongji University also participate in the study. It’s funded by the Science and Technology Innovation Program of Beijing Forestry University and the National Key Research and Development Program.
The Road to Success in Countering the Negative Impacts of the COVID-19: Approaches and Practices of Furongshu BBQ Bar presented by BFU was successfully listed among the 11th “Top 100 National Excellent Management Cases” (2020) released a few days ago. The selection of the List is sponsored by the National Business Administration Graduate Education Steering Committee and undertaken by China Management Case Sharing Center. Professor Li Xiaoyong from the Department of Business and Economics is the leading author, with Luo Yuanyuan, Li Xueyin, Zhang Yan, Wu Jialong and Gangju Zhang being the co-authors. The School of Economics and Management won the best Organization Award of the 11th National Hundred Excellent Management Cases for 2020. On October 18, the 2020 Joint Meeting of Deans of Management Schools of National MBA training schools was held in Beijing to honor the winners of the 11th "Top 100 National Excellent Management Cases”.
In response to the University’s call of deepening the construction of the work style, all staff of the service hall of the Information Center participated in an internal training workshop at noon October 20th in striving to provide high-quality and convenient online and offline integrated services.
Recently, postgraduate epidemic prevention team on BFU campus has been set up, with more than 200 volunteers recruited to serve the epidemic prevention and control on campus. Recently, the Office for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants of National Forestry and Grassland Administration organized experts to carry out a substantive review of three new varieties, i.e. “Exquisite Pink”, “Pink Fair Lady” and “Green Carpet”, which were cultivated by the Lagerstroemia i ndica Research Group of the National Engineering Research Center for Floriculture and the School of Landscape Architecture in BFU.
