Recently, Beijng Forestry University and the University of British Columbia(UBC) held a meeting on exchange and cooperation. President An Lizhe attended the meeting.
An Lizhe extended a warm welcome to the Canadian delegation from UBC. He stressed that based on the long history and solid foundation of cooperation between the two universities, BFU and UBC have yielded fruitful achievements in education and teaching reform, international scientific and technological cooperation, exchanges and visits, international joint laboratory construction, and the Asia-Pacific forestry education coordination mechanism(AP-FECM). A large number of high-level international exchange and cooperation platforms have been established to play a leading role in international education, which has become a critical way to continuously promote BFU's high-level development of internationalization, accelerate the high-quality development and the construction of "double first-class". He hoped that we could strengthen cooperation and exchanges on this basis and continue to gain new and greater achievements.
Professor Wang Guangyu from UBC pointed out that as important global strategic partners, UBC and BFU have made a lot of progress in cooperative education, exchanges and visits, scientific research collaboration and other areas. It is hoped that both sides will deepen partnership, consolidate the existing achievements and open a new chapter for future development.
At the meeting, both sides shared experinces and had in-depth exchanges on personnel training, faculty development, scientific and technological cooperation, and cooperative education.
